The thieves

are out

scanning

 the

new year

waiting to  pounce

the booty

of season

excess

that big screen

you purchased

attacks them

like moths

to a light

during

load shedding

and they too

come

when you

least expect

I watched

the springtide

moon

early this

morning

I marvelled

at it's

beauty

when doves

and birds

welcomed

the

coming

of the sun

I fear

it not

the

moon

our light

created

by

God

has

purpose
